María Munzi

 

Maria Munzi is an Argentinian photographer based in Barcelona. Her work delves into documenting the surreal scenes of daily life, allowing mystery, irony, and tension to reach the depth they deserve. Munzi's photographs take the act of contemplation as a starting point, highlighting ambiguous situations that are open to interpretation, and in which reality and fiction are mixed to cause estrangement to the spectator. Her sense of humor and sharpness place us in the absurd, in the bizarre, but at the same time, as in the name of one of her series, she seems to confirm: Je ne regret rian.

Her work has been shown in contemporary art fairs such as "ART UP! Lille" (France), FAXXI (Chile) and BADA (Buenos Aires).
